Students' Present. Support at Inter. Conf.
The Japan Institute of Energy (JIE) founded the donation system for supporting students to make a presentation at the international conference. We recruit the applicant twice a year, April and October.
Due to the spreading infection of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the event has been postponed since 2020, but we have resumed it in October last year.
The applicants should be the student and the member of The Japan Institute of Energy, and only one student among the applicants can receive this donation. We are looking forward to your application.

１．The objective of this support

A part of expense to make a presentation at the international conference oversees is provided as donation to the student who engages in the energy related fields.

２．Guideline of this support
|
This support system is applicable to the flight fee, accommodation fee and conference participation fee to make a presentation at the international conference oversees.

３．Content for this support
(1) Requirement The student who fulfills the requirements as follows can apply. ・ Should be the member of JIE and 30 years old or younger when making the presentation ・ Should be the resident in Japan (including international students) ・ Should be the first author and the presenter of the corresponding paper ・ Have not obtained this support before ・ Cannot obtain this support when one has already received the other organization’s support for this presentation (2) Amount of this support Maximum 200,000 JPY can be donated for the actual expense. (3) Application period We recruit the applicant twice a year, April and October, and only one student among the applicants can receive this donation in principle. This time, we are recruiting the applicant for October 2024. The corresponding conference: After January 1st, 2025 Application period: From October 1st to October 31st, 2024 (4) Application method You should fill the necessary items in our application form, enclose the completed application form, the copy of the guideline and call for paper of the corresponding conference, and mail to JIE. (5) Selection The selection committee of JIE will assess and determine the recipient. The assessment result (pass or fail) will be basically informed to the applicants by the end of November 2024. (6) Report and payoff If necessary, this donation can be provided for the fixed expense before departure if the receiver submits the invoice or voucher or receipt regarding this presentation. The balance can be provided for the expense when the receiver submits the specified report and the receipt for this presentation after the receiver coming back to Japan. (7) Notice ・ You can apply this support before your paper is accepted. However, this donation will be canceled if your paper is not accepted. ・ This donation may be canceled when the corresponding international conference changes or cancels the schedule. ・ We will publicize the donation to you through Nihon Enerugii Gakkai Kikanshi “Enermix” and our general meeting. ・ After coming back to Japan, we will recommend you to write your experience report at the international conference and submit the report to Nihon Enerugii Gakkai Kikanshi “Enermix”. The report will consist of two pages with some photos. ・ We will also recommend you to write your research paper related to the presentation at the international conference and submit the paper to our journal “THE JOURNAL OF THE JAPAN INSTITUTE OF ENERGY” in two years. |
